Bethlehem
Bethlehem is the birthplace of Jesus, and therefore a holy site to Christians around the world. The city is also significant to Jews because it is the burial place of the matriarch Rachel and the birthplace of King David. This city is just 5 miles south of Jerusalem, and it was turned over to the Palestinian Authority as a result of the 1995 Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement. It includes Nativity Church

It is in the heart of Bethlehem, and marks one of Christianity’s most sacred sites – the birthplace of Christ. It is controlled jointly by three Christian denominations – the Armenian Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Church.
